As a student in Urbanism I have always been interested in social issues and how to translate sustainable solutions to spatial quality. Organising this UTC gives me the opportunity to get involved with people who work hands on in the field on sustainability and fair urban development. A period in Buenos Aires opened my eyes how urban design might be able to help with fast growing urban settlements. Besides graduate student I work as city guide in Rotterdam to enthuse people with all kinds of backgrounds about architecture as well as urban solutions that provide better living conditions for the inhabitants of this city.
